To receive a SACAS certification for a product, the applicant must meet the following requirements:

• The applicant must have a well-established quality management system that an auditor will audit.
• The applicant must provide evidence of consistent compliance with the product's specifications, such as the South African National Standards (SANS) specification.
• The applicant's quality management system and product will be inspected and tested regularly for compliance.
• If any non-conformities are found during these audits, the applicant must demonstrate that corrective and preventive actions have been taken before the certification is issued.

SACAS provides a comprehensive range of product certification services, especially in the fire industry. From SANS 543, SANS 1475-1 & SANS 1475-2, SANS 1567, and SANS 1910 certifying manufacturing of fire extinguishers and fire hose reels as well as the service of fire extinguishers and fire hose reels suitable for the marine, industrial, automotive, mining and household requirements. 

In the Precast Concrete Industry, we only provide certification for Precast concrete suspended slabs based on SANS 1897. We wish to expand our services to include other standards, such as pre-stressed concrete lintels, concrete poles for telephone, power, and lighting purposes, reinforced concrete pressure pipes, etc.
